I wasn’t expecting to LOL! This book was very fun even if the MMC is a bit of an a**hole. I will definitely be reading more books from Mia Sosa.

Notes: primarily takes place in Aruba and Philadelphia, PA. Tori is an Afro-Latina and Carter is a white man.

I hated the male lead in this book with every fiber of my being.

This book was such a good time, I loved the meet cute between Toni and Carter, and I really loved seeing them while they were on vacation. The real drama really kicked once they arrived back home. I loved the premise of this book, the vacation setting and they fact that Carter was a celebrity. This book is full of family, and good friends; it is sweet and steamy. While there were so many things about this book that I did love, it wasn't my absolute favorite, I am looking forward to the rest of the series soon though.

I enjoyed the book. I liked the arcs, the relationship and had a lot fun with the story. But I actually dislike both MCs (It's strange for me too.) yet did not feel disinterested at all. There are lots of reasons for this: I love how Sosa brings life to her settings. It's A-tier for me. She knows how to entice readers with a perfect balance of romance, fam, and personal growth. Most of all, I appreciated how she handles Tori's relationship to her sister. She presents Tori's views. But she also gives readers reasons to consider otherwise. It gives both characters a fair shot. And while I don't agree with Tori's views it becomes a touching bonding moment with Carter.

I should not have had this on my TBR pile as long as I did, but MAN I'm glad I finally read it. Hooked me from the very first page, and the chemistry of the MCs was adorable and funny and sincere and amazing. Immediately on to book 2.

Really enjoyed this - but I wanted just a little bit more in a bunch of different places throughout the story. And LAWD - did this need an epilogue. I see what the author tried to do to finish things off, but I wanted more.

Mia Sosa created a truly sweet story with Acting on Impulse. The beginning hooked me, with Carter's humor and so many meet-cute moments. But as the book continues I found myself somewhat bored with these characters. Carter was an actor who wanted to be normal, and that's what we got - a regular-guy character who did regular-guy things. Tori was fierce at first, but her independence waned as the story went on. I just didn't feel the pull to these characters like I should have, and that's a shame.

A fun interracial romance with Hollywood vibes. Tori is a no-nonsense personal trainer who meets a cute guy on a plane to Aruba. She’s on vacation to forget her ex and has no intention of pursuing anything with Carter, but he’s driving hard to the hoop and she finds she has trouble resisting him. What she doesn’t realize is he’s a famous Hollywood actor, rendered unrecognizable due to a physical transformation he undertook for a role. When the truth comes out, Tori doesn’t want anything to do with him, but it turns out Carter is in need of a personal trainer to build his muscles back up—and Tori is the only person he wants for the job.
