It's a sweet little book. Easy to read. Loved the English flair. Had to keep a dictionary handy for all the English words.

This is a pretty straightforward story that has a couple of parts I thought were a stretch (who accepts they have to live with a bat colony in the attic of their new home--after they move in? And I thought the relationship between the main characters could have been more believably written), but overall I always enjoyed the time I was listening to it and I found it very clear to follow--which isn't always true for me when I listen to books. I also loved the parts about the books and their effects on the people who read them.

Like a decent Hallmark movie with an all Canadian cast.  I was going to say it wa kk d of boring, but after I finished and started another boom I was slightly sad that I wasn’t with those other characters anymore.  It was just sweet and soothing.  No big drama, a little grieving., but all just nice.

3.6 ⭐️. It was a fun and easy read. A good “by the poolside” pick.

This was a slow paced but heartwarming book about the power of books to bring people together. The title grabbed me as I'm a fan of little free libraries and thought a story about one would be cute. Though billed as more of a romance, that plot line wasn't strong in my opinion and only added a little to the story. I wish even more emphasis was given on how the books in the littlest library changed the community. We got some snippets of this, but I felt following those storylines would have made for a better read.

3.5. I feel like literally nothing happened in this book. remember when the characters first kissed like 80% of the way in? yeah nothing happens between them again until the second to last page where they have a slightly extended kiss. all of the conflicts are magically (and somehow easily) resolved in the last chapter. not necessarily a bad book, but probably 50% of it is just describing the main character working in the garden or drinking wine.
update: other reviews are classifying this as women’s fiction rather than romance, so maybe im the problem lol

Lovely premise, but a dull plot
