This Thrawn Trilogy is one of my all-time favorites. Zahn does a great job not only building on existing characters, but creating intriguing new ones. His storytelling is engaging and highly enjoyable.

This was SO much fun and I enjoyed it from start to finish. It had everything you want from a Star Wars novel with all it's action and adventure and space opera-y goodness plus the introduction of a ton of new and fascinating characters. Talon Karrde, Mara Jade and Grand Admiral Thrawn himself being the standouts. It's just always nice to settle in to a story with Han, Leia, Luke, Lando, Chewie and everyone else and this was one of the best I've read yet. Already excited for the rest of the trilogy!!
