I normally don't read MC romance, but I'm a huge fan of Kristen Hope Mazzola's writing plus this book takes place during the holidays. This was a fast read that I read in one sitting. It does deal with some tough issues, but Mazzola did it in a way I could handle.I really liked the road Collin took because I found his end destination suiting him perfectly.
Once again, Kristen Hope Mazzola gives us a sweet, sassy and sinful romance story set in her Unacceptables world. I adored Collin prior but seeing him in his own story and everything that he goes through, I absolutely loved every word. While this could be essentially an insta love story, there is history between Collin and Harlow. But when things explode between these two, it is passionate and stunning! How protective he is with her. And takes care of her. Especially when things happen. My heart broke for her but she is such a fighter! Overall, this is classic Mazzola that you cannot put down. Her books are pure addiction and this was a great addiction to the Unacceptables family!
Collin Hellock has a lot to be thankful for and a lot to be sorry about. Harlow knows what she wants but not sure how to go after it. This may have a holiday theme but I think you can read it at any time of year. It’s got the action you expect from an MC and then it’s got the sweet that you expect around this time of year. But you’ll also get the heat once our main characters are finally in the same space at the same time.
It was interesting to watch how the author developed her story. Scenes flowed easily from one to the next. Nothing felt rushed or as if something was shortened for the sake of length. You can read this even if you’ve not read any of the other books in the series. It may even be an incentive to check out the other books. At the very least, you may want to check out the book that began it all - Unacceptable.
