This book is boring af. It's hardly a second chance romance to begin with considering these people were never divorced OR separated. This is a story about a woman having a mid-life crisis and taking it out on her husband because she doesn't feel fulfilled in her own life.
She's literally mad that she's a stay at home wife and that her husband donated 300K to her foundation??? Epitome of rich white lady problems.
Yes, she has valid feelings and stuff that she should sort out but idk how any of that was her husband's fault or issue. She was projecting hard. Get a therapist. I guess I should amend that and say, sure she got a therapist eventually but I'm not sure how you're gonna solve 10-14 (idk how many) years of resentment and unhappiness in one week???? Like what is the point of this story lol.
This shouldn't be marketed as a romance when it's basically lit/women's fic. I get why people like I guess but I was bored to tears.

I genuinely adored this book. I am beginning to think that Hannah Bonam-Young might become one of my to-go romance authors.
I loved Sarah and Caleb, mostly because they were so very different from Bo and Win. Sometimes, the easy thing for authors to do in their series is to barely make a separate entity out of their main characters, especially when they’re close.
Sarah and Caleb both had their flaws, their highs and lows, and I LOVE second-chances romances when they’re written cleverly like this. On top of being a little romance we enjoy, there’s so much depth in the characters and their actions are thoroughly justified rather than just put out there for the reader to find a reason why along the way. Fleshed out characters are so much fun.
I loved this book very much.

Probably would've set it at 3.75, but it gets extra points for being not just a story, but a romcom about a long-term couple; imo there's not nearly enough of them, and I'm so happy this exists. I think these stories are so important, because not all of us (ie me) grew up with role models for what long-term relationships can look like.
That, and, it was so nice to be back in this lil universe again.
