Releer esta trilogía ha sido muy bonito, en especial porque siendo adulta mi percepción de muchas cosas es diferente. Aun así, me seguí emocionando con cada historia y momento en este libro, e incluso he llorado más de una vez.

Fue muy lindo terminar finalmente esta saga que había iniciado hace tantos años. Me gusta mucho cómo está construido este mundo, la variedad de los personajes, las historias dentro de las historias.

Overall, a nicely wrapped conclusion to the trilogy, that leaves nothing out and that answers all possible questions. Not my favourite in the series (which, for the record, still is the first instalment), as the main focus of the novel is the whole preparation for the upcoming final battle, a battle that felt a bit rushed and a bit too tailored. Also, most importantly, my favourite character barely graced the book with her presence, so I'm very bitter about that.
Glad I got to re-read and re-experience this series, still highly recommend it for 8-12-year-old kids.

Todo se tiñe de blanco en Fairy Oak y difíciles momentos se avecinan en el final de la trilogía (El secreto de las gemelas y El encanto de la oscuridad). La presencia del enemigo se hace constante, y si bien la Banda del Capitán aún guarda esperanza, Pervinca se escapa por segunda vez.
Vainilla pasa terribles momentos, entre la sospecha que cae sobre su hermana y la esperanza que posee en ella. Shirley Poppy cobra más protagonismo y la graciosa muchacha pone más ritmo a la novela. También se narra el desenlace del Libro Antiguo. Pervinca debe decidirse: apoyará a su pueblo en la cruda batalla contra el Terrible 21 o se unirá a él en la destrucción que tiene planeada.
El final que todos esperábamos y el amor que se mantiene entre las hermanas resulta ejemplar.
