It was a bit slow to start with and I feel there were a few too many layers of narrative around the story. The description of the life of the beast was definitely the best part.
I find the gothic premise of the constantly ill protagonist a bit tiring.

Well worth the read! It's fascinating seeing how much the Frankenstein story has changed in pop culture over time when compared to the original. The way that Mary Shelley builds tension over the course of the story is really brilliant.
