This was alright, nothing too special. It was fast paced and action packed but I feel like it feel kind of flat. Don’t really have much else to say

"Tia and Mike Baye never imagined they'd become spying, overprotective parents. But their sixteen-year-old son Adam has been unusually distant and aloof lately, and after the recent suicide of his classmate, Spencer Hill, they can't help but worry. They install a spy program on Adam's computer and within days they are jolted by a strange message to their son from an unknown correspondent: "Just stay quiet and all safe." Meanwhile, browsing through an online memorial for her son, Betsy Hill is struck by one photo in particular - it appears to have been taken on the night of Spencer's death...and he wasn't alone. She thinks it's Adam Baye standing just outside the camera's range, and when Adam goes missing, it soon becomes clear that something deep and sinister has infected their community. Uncovering the secrets and lies at the heart of Spencer's death may be the only thing that can help Betsy move on - and perhaps save Adam's life." (From Amazon)

I think this is a great novel for parents of pre-teens and teens as it highlights just how much parents do not know their children. This is not to frighten them, lol, but just an eyeopener on how much parents can miss.

Great book and thought provoking. How far do you go to "spy" on your children to make sure they're safe and doing safe activities. How much is too much? Where do you draw the line and is considered an invasion of their privacy?

Remind me again why I looove Harlan Coben's books! Couldn't stop reading it, it's written so well and full of twists.

"Man plans, God laughs... It was more about understanding that you could give it your all, give yourself the best chances, but control is an illusion."

3.5 ⭐ =Quite Good.
Quite a fast paced book. Plenty of action, and the characters were cleverly woven together at the end.
I think that the reason I haven't rated this as good is  because the only real character that I liked was Mike.
