I simply devoured this book! The sorry pulled me in right from the beginning and the story took me through a series of emotional ups and downs. I had some things figured out early on in the story, but I still enjoyed each and every word. I’m now anxiously waiting the next book as I have to know how this ends. I would definitely recommend this one to anyone who is looking for something full of intrigue and just a little bit naughty.

Whew boy oh boy. i’ve been diligently working my way through all of this author’s books and now that i’m getting to the ones that have more of a mystery aspect i’m so excited because she does it very well. even if you figure out certain aspects of said mystery, it doesn’t make it any less satisfying. it becomes more of a “I FUCKING KNEW IT!” moment yk? that’s what this book was for me!
alice as a main character is fine, i don’t have any notes really. she’s very intelligent for one, you find out pretty fast that once she’s got her claws into something she’s not gonna let it go until it’s solved.
now charles and julian… LMFAOOOOOOO this author… you evil evil woman! i’ll leave it at that

I'm a new reader of Kathryn Ann Kingsley. Just last week I picked up my first book by this author Steel Rose. My thoughts- effortless and deliciously explicit. I guess I expected Illusions of Grandeur to be the same. It was a great read. Totes effortless. So much fun mystery spread around. Here the but, it was missing the sexiness. I know this author can write sexy. I read it in Steel Rose
