This installment of NYPD Red was eh, okay. Neither case really held my interest, and there were no big character plots to follow either. I like this series and the premise of it, but maybe, I waited too long before reading this installment because I just wasn’t into it. Hopefully, NYPD Red 7 will be better!

The partnership of Kylie MacDonald and Zach Jordan continues in the latest installment. In this one, the two main crimes are the kidnapping of reality TV star Erin Easton by an obsessed fan, Bobby Dodd, and the burglaries of wealthy elderly women by an ambulance crew.
All along, the underlying but off for now romantic relationship between Zach and Kylie is on hold and they are with other people, but I really hope they eventually get together.
The kidnapping story and the mastermind was obvious to me, and the ambulance crime was a distraction to me, but still a good read.
Looking forward to the next installment.

Another brilliant James Patterson novel. I love the NYPD Red series; it is very different to other Patterson book series and definitely gives me Brooklyn Nine-Nine vibes. The plot was interesting, unusual to have the perpetrator identified so early on but upon reaching the end it is clear all is not how it appeared initially. Kylie MacDonald and Zach Jordan are two of NYPD’s finest, but there were different sides to their characters not previously explored, particularly Zach who struggled after not quite living up to the standard of Red that everyone has come to know. They are a great professional partnership and good friends, but the unresolved romantic feelings are still there, which are long overdue to come to a head. Overall, another great addition to one of my favourite book series. I cannot wait for the next instalment.

This was a good book! I knew something wasn’t adding up, when the abduction was solved right halfway through the book. This was an interesting read

Another great hit to the NYPD series - 4*

A great Sunday morning read. I really enjoyed it and it's helping me return to reality from being super stressed and exhausted.
