I really wanted to love this book because Grease and YA and Romance are a promising combination. Though the book wasn’t bad, it didn’t quiet meet my expectations. I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t read YA in some time but the story felt very summarized. We see about 4 months of Ollie and Will, 7 if you count flashbacks. There are some great moments between he two of them but I felt like they just kept getting cut short. There was a lot of telling rather than showing in regards to the romance since Ollie was all in while Will had to navigate being in the closet. I know the author has the ability to show though because I definitely got emotional at some parts. I’d say this book felt more of a coming to age type story with a romance rather than the other way around. All in all I would recommend.
