DNF @ 23%. This book is written in a very simplistic, almost staccato style, yet it managed to feel overwritten. Mostly because it uses its short sentence beats to hammer each tiny point to death and beyond. I couldn't stand it.

Unless this was a one-time experiment in deathly boring writing styles, I don't think this author's writing is for me.

A little bit chaotic in terms of pacing and plot but I enjoyed it SO MUCH and it was so cosy and exactly what I wanted at this moment that it has to be a five star read 🥰
