This was a good read! I appreciated that the book did not seek to divide and blame but rather to understand and build. It gave me a framework to think of politics in terms of moral psychology. My hope for the future is that I can have more constructive discussions about politics that result in change in politics but also in other people’s minds. So that we can bridge the divide and come up with real solutions and I think this book could help me do that. I can’t say I agreed 100% with every perspective but I definitely learned a lot. I had some trouble finishing the book but I can’t tell if it was because of the length or just my mood reading it wants something different right now.

This starts you thinking with the first chapter and keeps going. Not a quick read if you give yourself time for introspection along the way.

I honestly expected more from this book. Jonathan Haidt's "The Happiness Hypothesis" change the entire trajectory of my life. This one was not half as engaging or as convincing.

I always wonder what makes people think the way they do. How can two sides of the population be so different? Not sure if this book is the answer, but it is another illuminating perspective. THere's a TED talk too if you don't want to read the whole book ; )
