Scrap all other self help, motivational biographical books. Actually just scrap all other books. THIS IS IT. This is the only one you‘lll ever need. The mentality of this man is nothing short of inspirational.

Get this book.

Yesterday.

I like the balance between auto/biography and self-help.
He told his amazing story and sprinkled in a little (helpful) wisdom.

Fascinating, motivating story. I found myself running today and yelling at myself in my best Goggjns voice “you’re a tough motherfucker!”

If you’re looking for a kick of inspiration, it’s worth a read, even if it does get a bit redundant and eye roll-worthy at certain points.

I listened to the audiobook version and really enjoyed the interviews after each chapter - it felt more like listening to a very long form podcast vs. a book.

There some things I liked and some I disliked about this book. It's inspiring how driven and disciplined this man is, however I also see how he is never prepared for the challenges he partakes in, almost as if he is addicted to suffering. I see how his childhood has impacted him, making suffering his comfort zone.

If you just ignore the expletives used by David in this book, this is the best biography you'll ever read! Better than Ben Frank's Biography.

I’ve just finished ‘Can’t Hurt Me’ by David Goggins, the only man to finish US Navy SEAL, Army Ranger and Air Force TACP training. He has participated in over 60 ultra-races and held the Guinness World Record for completing 4,030 pull-ups within 24hrs. This book is awesome and I give it five stars.

David had an insane life of pin and suffering, he chose to live as a failure and a slob. As you can imagine, he had a revelation one day and cleaned himself up, achieving many great things.

The book is about his unbreakable and unrelenting mindset, his desire to break through his mental limits. He developed the 40% rule; when we think we have given it our absolute all, we have only given 40% of our best. When we push through and think we’ve broken through, we’re actually at 60%.

Our self-limiting beliefs are often push/pull between performance and comfort. What could you achieve if you pushed for 100%?

Cool book that certainly gets you raring and ready to face any sort of challenge. Also an interesting autobiography written well. I feel the philosophy of the book is not flawless however it's great to add to books to reflect on.
