I’ve now read all of the books in the series and I have really enjoyed them all. I’m not sure if this is the definite last one or not but am hoping not. Not only for how this one ends but because Rhiannon is such a brilliant character.

This book follows on from the where the last one ended. Rhiannon is settling into her new life with Rafael and his family and it has been a long time since she killed. Although she is still constantly looking over her shoulder and wondering if anyone will catch up to her, she is missing the thrill of a kill and is starting to get itchy feet. I really felt for her as she is trying to make a go of her new life and you can see how much she loves Rafael but she is unable to stop bad people getting to her and wanting to punish them. Whilst I wanted a happy ending for her, there is no doubting that the enjoyment in this whole series has been her take on the world and being a serial killer.

Thorn In My Side was another hand in mouth read where you were just waiting for the chills to come. I love seeing a softer side to Rhiannon as well as her sense of justice. I’ve got to admit to having mixed feelings with how this one ends. I wasn’t expecting any happy endings but it was a bit abrupt and left me with lots of questions. Other than that though it was another great read with one of my favourite serial killers.

I am just 👏🏽 obsessed 👏🏽 with this series!! I read the first two books (SWEETPEA & IN BLOOM) back in the prime bookstagram era of 2020 and it’s been a while since the third, so I was so excited to jump back into Rhiannon’s twisted mind and this did not disappoint!

Violent, twisted + hilarious, with the trademark dark humour + witty (very British) sarcasm, this was so damn captivating and I could not put it down. Our MC Rhiannon is as foul mouthed, blunt and sardonic as always, but we are seeing some growth and her priceless ‘kill lists’ are just as entertaining as book one. I feel like I shouldn’t enjoy these books as much as I do (she is a serial killer after all) but they are just brilliant.

My one complaint… that ending should be illegal. What in the emotional rollercoaster crash was that!? WHEN IS BOOK FIVE? 😭 Aside from the torturous cliffhanger, this was such a fun, fast paced + thrilling fourth instalment and this unique series is one of my all time favourites.

If you love dark thrillers, have a questionable sense of humour + enjoy the anxiety of watching Joe Goldberg kill people who annoy him + then get nail-bitingly close to being caught, you need to grab a copy of these books immediately! You’re welcome, in advance 🫶🏽

This was a 3⭐️ possibly a 3.5⭐️ all the way through. It was a slow start, still enjoyable, what’s not to like about a caustic psychopath? 🤷🏼‍♀️
Anyways, it was plodding along and then the ending 😲
Looking forward to the next instalment
