Love the TV show. The books captures a lot of the same whimsy and neither is made boring by the other. I think both mediums have their pros and I'd actually suggest reading the book AND watching the show.

This was a lovely part prose/part illustration story about a young girl with a passion for adventure. The world that Pearson has created is wonderful, and Davies adapts it well from comic to novel. A lovely companion to the Netflix show, or just an excitement-filled story for younger readers.

*I received an ARC from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.*

This was so freakin cute! First of all, I would die for Twig. Also, i want a deer fox and I want one now. But I guess that's beside the point. This was a really cute story mostly about how humans kinda suck. At least that's what I took from it. Highly recommend to adults that like MG books. And to basically all kids and tweens. Hilda is fun, and brave, and kind. I seriously cannot wait for the Netflix show!
