I loveed it! It takes place in the Elizabethen Era. It make you want to rethink what might be under you. Dirt? A graveyard? Or.... maybe an underground palace? It also makes you want to rethink on how Queen Elizabeth might have gain her throne. Did she do it by her self? Or with some magical help?

3 1/2 Stars. Although fantasy is not my usual genre of choice, I ended up enjoying this book. It took me quite awhile to get into the story, but I once I did I was fairly hooked. The entwining of the relationship of Lune and Michael with the larger plot of Invidiana's corruption was quite enticing. Nevertheless, I felt that the most interesting, well-written parts of the novel were not in the main story at all but rather the italicized side stories involving Tiresias.

DNF. I think it's a wonderful book and the political intrigue was interesting, but it did not hold my attention and neither main character was relatable for me.

I'd love to return to it maybe, but we'll see.
