Primer libro que leo de Miss Marple, una anciana aficionada a los misterios y con un don para resolverlos que vive en la campiña británica, en esta ocasión tendra que descubrir las causas de la muerte y los motivos que hay tras el asesinato de una joven que aparece en la libreria de unos amigos de ella y pertenecientes a la clase alta.

Lo leí en formato audio y no me gustó, no conseguí diferenciar a los personajes y la narración dejó mucho que desear; la trama prometia desde el inicio, el desarrollo cumplió su función de mantener la intriga, pero el final tuvo una resolución poco clara y abrupta.

Okay so I won't lie, I was probably not the best reader/listener/absorber of this book. I have been trying desperately to work reading back into my life with a small human child who takes up a lot of it, but this audiobook was short enough that it seemed doable. And it was! I listened to a large chunk of it while trying to finish a quilt that I started in 2023 (ack), but then naps went out the window so those chunks became a bit more spread out than I wanted. I finished the last 20 pages in Kindle form because the last 30 minutes of audiobook time was just not happening for me.

All that to say, the ending of this book slightly confused me, because I think I missed some hints along the way. Not to say that I ever would have solved it ahead of Miss Marple had I been following closer, but when they revealed that

the two girls' bodies had been swapped

, I was surprised because I had apparently missed (or forgotten) any mention

that they looked alike

. Also there were a lot of characters for my tired brain to keep track of, but I think I did a pretty good job most of the time.

So three stars because this was relatively enjoyable but a bit convoluted. Not my favorite Christie, but I'm glad I read it! Onward!

Ich weiß nicht, wieso diesmal der Wurm drin war, aber ich konnte der Geschichte überhaupt nicht folgen. Ich muss mir das Hörbuch irgendwann nochmal anhören, um mir eine endgültige Meinung bilden zu können.
