A typical Agatha Christie who-done-it with abundant plot twists and a surprise ending!

I can believe I've never read an Agatha Christie novel! It was so good!

Good.
Suka kasus dan penyelesaiannya.
Walaupun reread tapi aku menikmatinya.

My best reading decision of 2024 is picking up Agatha Christie. The Body in the Library is the second book in the Miss Marple series.

I really wasn’t sure to what to expect but absolutely loved this book.

"Oh, ma'am, oh, ma'am, there's a body in the library."

This was such a fun… cozy read. Revisiting characters from the first book as well as being introduced to a new group! I’m beyond excited to continue this series!

An early Miss Marple, the character is rather less endearing then she became on screen. This is pretty quick and entertaining, but has a surprisingly comic tone for the fact that the crimes are so grisly.

Update 9/24
Sometimes it pays to have dead braincells, as I forgot the plot of this as I listened to the audiobook, well narrated by Stephanie Cole. I thought, this is a bit grisly, and sure enough, that's exactly what my larger amount of braincells thought five and half years ago...

I love this type of writing, and this one did not disappoint.

very tricky. I liked it
adventurous mysterious medium-paced

It was pretty good, though it didn’t work quite as well for me as some of her more famous mysteries. I think the thing that bothered me about it was that Miss Marple wasn’t present when some important clues were revealed, making it more difficult to believe that she could have arrived at the correct solution to the mystery the way that she did.
