It’s an Agatha Christie novel, what more needs to be said.
I found it interesting that the Mystery show altered the end. It makes me smile, though the book one is more traditional. :)
Agatha Christie wrote The Body in the Library as a parody of the murder mysteries of the time. It is a bit contrived and some of the long conversations between characters were tiring. Like many authors Ms. Christie got better with practice. This book has many of the characters introduced in The Murder in the Vicarage: including the Vicar, Mr. Clemons, his wife Griselda, Miss Hartnell, Miss Wetherby, Col. Melchett, Inspector Slack and of course Miss Marple. As always I don't reveal the surprises in a mystery review.
