I didn't enjoy this as much as the previous books, though I still did enjoy it quite a bit. The outcome wasn't something I wanted, so that's coloring my opinion.

So far, the best book of the series.

I really didn't like Ben OR Kitty this time around. The big confrontation
in which Kitty confronts and kills her abusers, allowing her to stay in town with her family
isn't cathartic or even really examined with any emotion at all.

Here's hoping the next one is better.

Like the previous books (this is the 4th in the series), Kitty and the Silver Bullet takes up pretty much immediately where the last one left off. Kitty and her boyfriend Ben, now also a werewolf, have settled into a relationship together - she receives a telephone call to say that her mother is ill that they return to Denver, the place Kitty had never wanted to revisit because of her past history there with the werewolf pack.

There's also a power struggle going on, involving both werewolves and vampires, one in which Kitty and Ben are unable to avoid getting involved, whether they like it or not. There's quite a bit of character development for Kitty in particular since the first book, as she comes to terms with her past history in Denver and what being a werewolf actually means for her.

The next book in the series is [book:Kitty and the Dead Man's Hand], and I look forward to seeing how the author deals with the situation she's placed her characters in at the end of this one.

I am so happy that this book was better then the previous one in the series! There was so much more going on throughout this story. Ben and Kitty's relationship has developed into something real and it no longer makes me mad that they were just kind of thrown together. They are a strong unit and I think they will be great together through the rest of the series. This book was filled with tension, paranoia, politics and war. It was an absolutely fun read and I can't wait to get my hands on the next one! Overall I give this a four out of five stars.

Kitty was pretty awesome in this book, but I felt like it could have been done differently. I wasn't very interested in the vampire politics - I want to know more about pack dynamics.

It's been a while since I read the last Kitty book so I was in a bit of a fog but I still enjoyed this book. It had a lot of emotional moments and yay for realistic gun use!
