Another easy read in this series. Kitty returns to deal with her old pack and gets involved with a supernatural war. Not particularly original but I'm still enjoying the series.
I liked it..... I Don't really overly enjoy books that have cancer and miscarriages in them... that's the only reason its a three star for me.... not anything to do with the rest of the plot or the writing, i understand why the author put it in the book... It just ruined the read for me a little.....
The rest of the plot was nail biting and brilliant, at first i was a little reluctant about Kitty and Ben, but i kind of get it now... hes a bit softer a bit more homely but he has a little of Cormac's edge too.
Kitty is pulled into a territory War in her home town of Denver where she was once banished from by her old pack Alpha's, seeing an opportunity to help those she left behind, she takes it along with the help of Ben, the Cops and a few wayward vamps...
Missed Cormac but glad he made an appearance.

I really like the Kitty Norville books. The third one was so good I wondered where the fourth installment would go and I was not dissapointed. I am a fan.
This latest installment brings us back to where we first met Kitty and shows us how much her character has grown. It was really cool to see her struggle with having to confront unresolved issues from the past before she felt like she was ready and yet rise to the challenge. Her internal conflict struck me as authentic, and sometimes it's nice to be able to identify with a character. She emerges bloody but not broken as the author hints at some very interesting wider world issues to be explored in the books to come.

people laugh when I tell them I'm reading a series of books about a werewolf named Kitty. Hey, the NAME came first ^_^
The best thing for me is that despite her ... affliction? ... she still maintains her family ties. Calls with Mom every Sunday (who DOES that?). They know her sister's dog *really* doesn't like her (I couldn't even tell you how many dogs my sister HAS). It's been awhile, but her brother-in-law and both her niece & her nephew at least recognizer her! That wouldn't likely be the case w/my family
Well, Kitty's mom has been diagnosed with cancer and despite her exile from the Denver pack, she's going home, come hell or high water!

This might actually be my favorite in the series... I really love the paranormal politics of Kitty's world.
After muddling through the 1st three Kitty books, I think Kitty has finally found her stride. She has evolved into a very strong likeable character. I did not like the love interest at first but after this book he has grown on me. I will continue on Kitty's journey for alittle while longer :)
