Super graphic. Needless to say I loved it. If a Quentin Tarantino film became a book (and was less violent) this would be it. Like O, I loved Ben AND Chon... impossible to choose in my opinion. The ending was perfect, which is something I can't often say about a book, even if I love it all the way through.

Not my usual genre, but Winslow is very good at it. Highly improbable, but great fun.

This is hard to rate. I liked the fast pace and snappy writing style, but I had a hard time caring about any of the characters. 3.5, I guess?

I dropped this somewhere in the 50-80pg range. I started out enjoying it but I made the mistake of putting it down and when I picked it back up, the mood had changed. I recommend it to folks who like to learn about marijuana.

I've not seen chapters organized as such as Winslow. One paragraph, one sentence, one word chapters and those are structured in a haiku, free-form poetry type of flow. The chapters aren't stagnant with one character; each character's view gets its moment in the spotlight but with an easy merge from one to the next. I'm not usually one for crime, drug cartel, shoot-em-up type movies or books, but Winslow paints a pretty picture with this one. There is some beautiful craftsmanship in this novel.
