More potential as a film (coming soon from Oliver Stone)

I'm glad that I picked this book up after hearing how good it was, love it. O was my favorite character.

Quick read. I love his writing style, makes you not want to put the book done.
Great summer read with some rather graphic language. Not ideal for a work book club, heh.

I added this book to my to read list based on all the positive buzz it got when it published a couple of years ago. I did not like it. It wasn't awful, but I wasn't a fan of the affect of the authorial voice, and the characterizations of all the women in the book were awful.

Also, I get it Down Winslow - WE'RE ALL SAVAGES. Here, take your hammer back.

Maybe it would translate better on screen. Some action. It was okay.

I really liked the way it is written - so abstract, all over the place, and sort of messy. Very different than a lot of novels I've read. The one thing that sort of threw me off, was the number of characters involved and there back stories. It made it a little difficult to pick up, and start a few weeks later (which is what I tend to do with books). Interesting read overall, and would recommend it to a friend.

I really enjoyed this. It wastes no time getting started and moves quickly (I mean, some chapters are only like ten words). I definitely felt some anxiety at the end there. It might not be the best book you'll ever read, but it's certainly not a waste of time.

EDIT: Just watched the movie. I know books are usually better than the movies, but why did Oliver Stone & Co want to stray away certain things they did? The movie ending was a total cop-out, and there were elements in the book that would have made the movie more exciting. Wahhh. Typical bitter reader.
