Quick and nice read. I liked the world-building and how it was incorporated with the “mundane”. I found the main character endearing and her magic intriguing.
I wished we could have skipped the whole focus on being skinny and getting an hourglass shape when she became his mate. Not only is it wholly unnecessary and borderline fatphobic, it also just don’t make sense. Hourglass shape with big boobs is a current beauty standard. Why would it be something that the mating magic induces? On top of that, not everyone has the body type to get that shape, so that would mean that the mating magic would change more than just making someone a little skinnier. All in all, it wasn’t needed even remotely and should have been left out.
Other than that, it was a nice story.
