challenging dark mysterious sad tense fast-paced

I didn’t really like this book but I can see how a teenager would. The style is really easy to read and I feel like that twist would’ve shocked me if I was 15, but it’s hard to connect w any of the characters and the story feels all over the place. I skimmed the last 50 pages just to finish it.

we were pretty good.

twist had me SICK to my stomach though because i’m blind and didn’t see it coming.

This book was extremely sad, like I am sitting here crying sad. Oh Gat... Gat and Mirren and Johnny, I loved you. I will miss you so much. Cadence misses you too. Oh the sinclairs.

I’m gonna need therapy after this one

i think people should stop advertising books with things like "read this the plot twist is sooo good!!!" because it sets up too many expectations + that is inherently a spoiler!!! the entire time i was reading this i was just looking for the plot twist. and i guessed it!!! so it was underwhelming. however i think that if i didn't know there was going to be a plot twist this would have gripped me a lot more. anyways it was ok.

sometimes books are so focused on making sure they have reread value that they forget to make sure they have FIRST read value
