This book has it all: high fantasy, incredible depth of character, world-building wizardry, and a story full of magic and intrigue. Though the first 100 pages may drag a little with heavy dialogues about plans and schemes, when the plot takes hold the book soars. This book has legs. It will become a staple of classic fantasy.

The magic system was very interesting but I could not stand the main character.
Vin or whatever her name was, ruined the book for me.

This book seriously lives up to the hype and I wish I started it sooner. I loved every single character, with Vin becoming my new favorite FMC. I could not put this book down… could potentially be one of my favorites the entire year. (Also I didn’t think the magic was too confusing thank heavens)

loved how everything came together esp with the couple of Big Reveals at the end but so much of the lead up was such a pain to go through

another Sanderson book where the prose actually irked me
