Lady Susan - liked it, but the style of writing (letters) doesn't suit Miss Austen.
The Watsons - LOVED IT, and my heart is broken because she never had the chance to finish what would obviously be an excellent story!
Sanditon - almost uniformly dreadfully boring.
And thus ends the period of my life in which there existed in the world Jane Austen novels that I hadn't read.

“Now, if I were to swallow only one such dish [talking of green tea] - what do you think its effect would be upon me? -“
“Keep you awake perhaps all night” - replied Charlotte […]
“Oh! if that were all!” - he exclaimed. - “No - it acts on me like poison and would entirely take away the use of my right side
It’s the last work of Austen, an unfinished novel mocking hypochondriac people. Austen was already ill at the time, so this novel’s topic resounds with her life situation at the time.
The main character, Charlotte, is a sensible woman that sees past others’ fake surface and exaggerated stress with health; she shows how to enjoy life without too much fuss.
The novel could have continued and given us a great story, as there are many ways in which it could have gone.
It’s a great chance to have access to Austen’s unfinished works.

I have now read everything by Jane Austen. I was familiar with some of these stories before I began. I had seen the loose movie adaptation of Lady Susan and I knew that Sanditon was the story Jane was working on just before she died, but the one that I wasn't at all familiar with turned out to be my favorite. The Watsons had such a cozy and confident set up that I felt like it was a complete story. I liked that I felt like I could see where it was going even after it had ended. Sanditon just didn't grab me in the same way from just the beginning and while Lady Susan was complete, I think that the epistolary style cuts us off from the emotional dimension of the story, which is Jane Austen's strong suit.
