The writing style was different from other Discworld books.
More detailed characters and story. It should not affect my rating and reading experience (since me being an epic fantasy reader). But it does, since author being Terry and the series being Discworld. I liked the shorter, crisper and more funny (I dare say ridiculous) plots.
This book is longer than others and less Terry Pratchetty.
A decent read.

- I can’t believe TPratchett wrote Night Watch and this basically back to back WTF was in the water between 02 and 03.
- Touchingly queer read in the year 2025.
- “might be transgender but we got a war to win so I don’t have to for this” is now one of my favorite tropes it’s funny I’ve read two books this year with it
- Jackrum the man that you are.

MAKE SURE TO READ THE UK VERSION NOT THE STUPID ALTERED US ONE.
