I found this to be a very fun read, as is often the case with Pratchett. Basic premise is girl pretends to be boy to enlist in the army to find her brother who went to war a year ago. Anticipated complications ensue as do many unexpected ones resulting in a well told story with a number of surprises even after you think you've figured out all the surprises.

Another triumph from Pratchett. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. It didn't quite hit the full sparkle but i'm not sure why. Great read.
