This was a dreamy-sweet read about horse-loving Pippa who has to enter a flying horses race for the greek gods. It's definitely more a childrens book, but since the greek gods often act like children anyway young readers can easily relate to them, haha.

That was really cute! A fun new take on Greek mythology. I admit that I’m a total snob when it comes to Greek mythology, since I study it and so I often get frustrated when stories tell the myths “wrong” or they make up new things on the fly about the gods, goddesses, heroes, and monsters. But this story was less about Greek mythology than it was about the connection between children and animals, so I can appreciate that. I also like how the gods were constantly fighting and trying to one-up each other, which is absolutely how I picture the gods. Any kids who are fans of Greek mythology would definitely enjoy this book.

I am obsessed with stories of the the Greek Gods and Goddesses. Middle grade always seems to hit just the right spot for me when I’m in a reading slump. And this delicious tale what just what I needed.

As a horse lover this story hit me right in the heart as we follow Pippa on an extraordinary journey to Olympus to compete in a race. A race on winged horses. Beautifully written with strong emotional threads it was impossible to not to fall in love with Wings of Olympus.
