I just cannot deal with stupid main characters and unfortunately that’s what we find ourselves dealing with throughout this book.
There was so much telling not showing in this story that things just felt like they were moving so quickly and I just couldn’t get attached to any of the characters.
Also the narration annoyed me when they talked about the hunchback of notre dame and pronounced it notre DAYM in the American way instead of DAHM in the proper French way. It’s set in France. With French speakers. All the other French pronunciation was good so I’m just confused.
