Somehow, I’ve ended up in a country era without meaning to, but I'm not mad about it.
Rushed is set in Montana at a couple’s adventure retreat that the main character Cybil attends alone, having been dumped by her fiancé only a couple of months before their wedding. There she meets Tanner, one of the owners of Live Life Adventure and their survival guide for the next week.
Stop reading if you don’t want spoilers.
Why then did I give this book 2.5 stars when It sounds like a sweeping romance? Because of the insta-love. One week. One week is all it took for Cybil and Tanner to fall in love. For Cybil to stay in Montana, at Tanner’s place for an extra week after the adventure excursion was over. It took only two weeks for them to decide they were going to live together, for which one would have to make a cross-country move. And there’s also a little surprise at the end.
What I disliked about this book was the fast burn and the tropes used within, the writing was good, and I read until the end, so I did have some staying power, even if it was a rushed and sickly sweet romance.
Not really a fan of instalove. Character development is lacking. Any "challenges" weren't really treated like challenges and were resolved within a paragraph or so.
This one just didn't do it for me

Really enjoyed this series started by the always dazzling Aurora Rose Reynolds. Set in the beautiful landscape of glorious Montana, ARR kicks this series off with a sweet and swoony story between a wilderness retreat owner and his newly single client. And I can already tell this Adventures is love in series is going to be a delicious adventure indeed- sweet, sexy, and fun.
Our heroine Cybil finds herself on a couples retreat- but completely and heartbreakingly single. Determined to move past her past pains and the pity of her small town life, she decides to lean into her time in Montana, where she has a super memorable meet cute with a mystery man- who steals her parking place and her table at the local diner. A spark ignites, so imagine their surprise when he’s the guide of Cybil’s wilderness group, and soon their chemistry can not be denied.
Aurora writes so compellingly about the spark. While instalove isn’t always my favorite in romance, ARR somehow gets me to believe that a single glance, a single moment, a single spark can ignite an intense and meaningful connection - that you can love at first sight. And I loved watching these two fall together, even if the meddling of other people and more tragedy for Cybil. And we get to see two people show up for each other and care for each other in ways that warm the heart and give you all the swoony feels.
Tanner is just so dreamy and charming, and I loved Cybil’s heart and strength. The “boom” chemistry is sweet and sexy, and the angst is pretty low. I loved Tanner’s unwavering interest in Cybil -his support of her is so sexy. And it was so delightful to see a couple weather challenges together, to grow stronger from the obstacles they face.
With gorgeous setting, romantic sparks, fun adventures, and a dynamic and intriguing secondary cast, ARR has the groundwork for a great new series full of heart and heat- and I’m looking forward to what’s next

This book was so good, I immediately wanted to read it again. Cybil is so strong and independent. Tanner is sweet to her. They are perfect for each other and this book had me laughing out loud! The outdoors aspect isn’t something i read a lot so it was nice to have a refresh. It had the lightest bit of suspense too, which was a nice surprise. If you love small town romance, with a not so common plot, this is the book for you!

You know the phrase "too stupid to live", yeah that describes the FMC.
It was a cute audio, very fast pace and an easy plot. Thankful it was on my KU
