After a broken engagement, Cybil is left to continue on to the non-refundable Live Life Adventure couple's retreat in Montana which she'll now be attending ... solo. After a lovely interaction with Mr. Grumpy who stole her parking spot and then took her spot in line at the restaurant, she's now grumpy and ready to get settled for the night before she embarks on the week long retreat tomorrow. Upon arrival at the retreat Cybil realizes that Mr. Grumpy is none other than one of the three that run Live Life Adventure and Mr. Grumpy has a name, Tanner, who is also the guide for the week and is now her partner for the couple's retreat. As the week progresses they get to know each other and each of them feels a pull towards the other.. when the week is over, Cybil has decided to stay and get to know Tanner more and see if this pull could turn into something more.

This was such a cute, cozy, small town romance. The perfect book to read when you're looking for something lighthearted with the sweetest Southern man (listen to the audiobook if you can - it's free on Kindle Unlimited).

Cybil decides to go on the retreat by herself (what a badass), and there she is teamed up with one of the guides, Tanner. Surprise surprise, they end up falling for one another.
I LOVED the forced proximity in this book. I also absolutely loved Tanner (omg his Southern twang in the audiobook?? I was so obsessed - I replayed his parts too many times lmao). The romance was so unbelievably sweet in this book. This man just wants to look after her and I JUST COULDN'T GET ENOUGH OF IT.

Being in close spaces during the night also means the attraction only grows from day to day. But they know relationships cannot happen not only because she is a client but also because they live in different states.
I would say that this book was very insta. Quick attraction, no major drama (and the one that was was quickly resolved). It’s just fast how she goes from one relationship (not to mention they were supposed to marry!) and just feels so attracted and willing to sleep with another man.
The writing was okay, I read the book quickly but it’s not a book I’d reread. I doubt I’ll remember what was it about six months from now. I think that the title says it all. This book was rushed in all aspects.

I’m not the biggest fan on instalove but this book was a cute quick read! This was a booktok recommendation that didn’t disappoint. It was sweet, funny, and super interesting! I loved all of the characters and I’m excited to see which Montana boy falls in love next!
