From page one of this book I was HOOKED. I couldn’t put it down and ended up reading it in one sitting.
Tanner is the perfect mixture of alpha male and sweet. Seriously, the man is perfect. It is impossible not to instantly fall in love with his character. He came from a rough background, but has spent his entire life working hard to make sure the future is better than his past. Cybil has had some bad luck in her life, but she is still going. I love that she isn’t afraid to go on an outdoor couples retreat alone, sure it was nonrefundable but she could have just taken the loss.
The moment Tanner and Cybil meet they don’t get off on the right foot, however, the second meeting there is a change. I love the instant connection between the two of them. Tanner became instantly protective over Cybil, but not in an overbearing way. There were so many sweet moments between them as the both go to know each other and they learned that they work pretty well together, too.
There is some drama in the book, however, I appreciated the fact that there wasn’t unnecessary drama that created a rift between Tanner and Cybil. I loved seeing them work through it all together versus apart and making themselves miserable in the process.
I am already DYING for book two in this series and can’t wait to go on another adventure!
If you’re looking for an insta love, small town, strangers to lovers, forced proximity story this is one to check out!

I might have bumped this up to 2 stars if I hadn't listened to the audio book.
This is a typical, predictable, and quite frankly boring romance. The characters are cringy, the plotline is basic, and I literally had to DNF it at about 75% because listening to the interactions between the characters via audio gave me the ick.

3.5 stars - this was a very short, sweet, low-angst, and surprisingly steamy romance.
Loved the setting, but it was a bit insta-lovey and I actually wish it has been longer to really flush out the story and the relationship more. Also, it does have a trope that I don't normally like, but it didn't bother me that much in this.

*3.5* This book had a hard time figuring out what it was about. It was first a "finding myself by hiking in the woods" kind of book. And then it was a poaching mystery. Then all of a sudden it was the emotional angst of learning that your ex-boyfriend of nine years was actually the day you left for this couples hike without him. Then it was the most sweetest, unrealistic love interest I think I've ever read. However, he was fabulous, so it's hard to bash him even though he's incredibly unrealistic.
Spoiler
gay and he married his college roommate
Rushed is a fun and adventurous romance told from both Cybil and Tanner's perspectives. The pair meet on a week-long couple's retreat in the Montana wilderness. Cybil reluctantly attends alone, when she was meant to be there with her fiance, who broke off their engagement days before their wedding. Meanwhile, Tanner is one of the retreat owners, who pairs up with Cybil.
This is definitely an instant-love scenario, which isn't my favourite trope. However, Cybil and Tanner were so cute together that I didn't mind. Tanner's attraction towards Cybil was evident from the beginning, as he was very protective of her and instantly gave her a sweet nickname. Meanwhile, Cybil was reluctant due to her past, but once she opened up to Tanner and gave in to his charms, things heated up quickly!
I listened to the audio version via Kindle Unlimited and definitely recommend it - the narrators were great!
So if you're looking for a sweet yet steamy romance that will transport you to rugged and small-town Montana, check out Rushed.

In true Aurora Rose Reynolds fashion, this book hit like a bang. It was quick, it was intense and was full of heat and chemistry between the main characters Cybil and Tanner.
Cybil has a fresh broken heart so takes herself on the couples’ wilderness retreat she’d booked for her and her ex almost out of principle. But when she arrives, the last person she expects to fall for is her guide, Tanner, the ex-army man who is rugged and raw. Throughout the retreat, they find themselves becoming closer, and opening up about their pasts like they hadn’t before, all whilst tackling the wilderness and learning how to survive. When the week comes to an end, Cybil is left with some difficult decisions to make, will she choose her old life or to take the risk and start fresh with Tanner?
At times, this book definitely lived up to its name, it felt rushed. I am all for an insta-love story, which is something Aurora writes best, but it did feel like some parts were forced and a bit unnatural. It moved at a very quick pace, but I did enjoy the chemistry between Tanner and Cybil. She had to decide if living her life in her small town surrounded by all she ever knew was what she wanted or if she needed a change, I liked how the trip not only introduced her to a new love, but also made her grow too, she learnt a lot about herself in the week and what she saw as important in her life. Tanner was quick to be drawn to Cybil, and although I liked how he was all in so soon, I wasn’t a massive fan of how he acted with his lifelong friends over a girl he’d just met. Yes, maybe they weren’t acting the best, and maybe it’s just how I look at things, but I’d maybe be a bit more cautious than he was.
Rushed fit the Aurora Rose Reynolds mould perfectly and has set up the next book in the series so well! If you’re looking for an insta-love, mountain mam, wilderness romance, look no further than here!

I received this book in my Reveal Book Box subscription box I get monthly and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed this book. Tanner and Cybil were destined to meet. Their love may have happened quickly, but when you know, you know. I loved they get their HEA. There are many moments you will laugh and moments that will make you roll your eyes. Especially Lauren. She’s a trip.
Def recommend if you like a little outdoor adventure with a former marine and some small town romance.

Cybil is off on an adventure in Montana after splitting from her fiancé. She booked them a couples retreat camping excursion but ends up going solo. Lucky for her the one of the hunky guides partners up with her for the week of adventure.
Cybil and Tanner have a funny first encounter but then grow to just connect in such a natural way. Everything with them is carefree and easy. He is there for her when she needs someone the most too and it’s so swoon worthy.
I absolutely loved every second of their adventures in Montana and struggles faced later on in the book. Since Cybil is from Oregon and Tanner has his life and business in Montana there’s some locational struggles. These two both are the type willing to give up everything for the other and it’s the kind of heartwarming love story we all need.
