this had a prefect ending to a nice trilogy. I mean i am sad that some of the character weren't able to have their happy ending, but it was nice what they did at the ending, naming thier city after the one who sacifires his life for them.

I thought this was a decent conclusion to the trilogy. It was exciting and thrilling, without falling in to too many of the traps that the concluding parts to young adult series' often fall in to.
Into the Still Blue continues where the previous book left off. The Tides are living in the safety of the caves, whilst Perry, Aria & co. consider their next move. Hess and Sable have Cinder, and the only way through to the Still Blue. They need to rescue their friend and find a way into the Still Blue themselves. They just need to get through Sable's army first. But time is running out - the Aether is getting worse by the day...
This was a really good and exciting end to the trilogy. A lot of what happened felt quite natural and and real, it didn't feel too contrived. The opening and ending thirds of the novel were really exciting and gripping in particular, but I did feel that the story stalled a little in the middle, as Rossi's characters spent a lot of time on the Komodo and it just felt really dragged out and boring, but that was soon changed.
I liked seeing Roar and Perry dealing with the fallout of Liv's death more, and seeing their grief and how it affected their relationship, although at times (particularly in the middle) it felt like it was being brought up to fill time/space or allow the characters an opportunity to talk about something.
I felt it took me awhile to remember as well some of the details of the story or the characters, since it's been a year since I read the last book. I don't like when authors spoonfeed me all the details about all the characters pasts and traits in a second or third book of a trilogy, but at the same time I felt like I could have done with a little more reminding about some of the characters (Reef and the Six particularly).
I also felt the end was slightly sudden and was expecting a somewhat more dramatic battle between Sable and Perry,.
Overall, a good ending to a good trilogy. Exciting and thrilling with plenty of action.

It just felt a little easy... Perry strangling Sable with his chain... I thought their fight would be harder and more of a struggle but it was over really quickly... or so I thought anyway, but there was also a lot of building up to itOverall, a good ending to a good trilogy. Another addition to my series-I've-finished list! And the best part is that it's a really good addition. It's always wise to be wary of the last book of a series (especially if it's a trilogy) but this was great!
I read the first two books what feels like ages ago, even though it's only been a year, and I'd forgotten so much stuff. But a little skim through the second book, Through the Ever Night, and I was good to go. The first one is still a blur but I'm planning a reread soon. What's important, and surprising, is that I have only fond memories of those two. And I'll have fond memories of this one as well.
We start off a few days after Aria, along with Roar, comes back and after she and Perry save a group of dwellers; including Soran, who is supposedly not a horrible person anymore. Aria's recovering from her gunshot wound and Perry is trying to manage the Tides and figure out how to get to the Still Blue. Roar is devastated over Liv's death. I can't believe she's really dead. I though she's still be alive somehow but no, she's gone for good. And I feel bad for Roar ...Or I would if he wasn't being a total dick about it.
He has a right to be sad and angry, but is lashing out at Perry really the best option? The guy is trying his best to hold it together for the hundreds of people who are depending on him and Roar is no help at all.
Of course, refusing to talk about a problem isn't the best choice either but you can hardly be mad at Perry for it. He's one the most selfless people to ever exist. Everything he ever does is for others and with others in consideration. If shutting down a little helps him deal with his sister's death, and the fact that his girlfriend left him in the last book, then give him a break. And Aria is really understanding of that. I always liked that girl. She even understands that she screwed when she left without telling Perry (that was really bad move).
But anyway, to the plot. They need to get the location to the Still Blue, they need to get Cinder back, and they need to kill Sable. That last one isn't necessarily about the Still Blue. Sable is just a despicable human being who needs to die. I don't know if I hated him in the last book, but I so hate him in this one.
I also hated/wanted-to-strangle both Roar and Soran. First for being grade-A dicks, then for doing something really fucking stupid. But they both grew on me. I really like how the author can make you like any character. I like the story, I like the protagonist, I like how easy these books are to read, I like the writing and how well it flows, I like the fast but unhurried pace... I like this series as a whole. I don't often get to the end of a series and have it be on a positive note; it's good to have that.
In the end, I've said all that I needed to (I think). This was a really good conclusion and it reminded me that I need to pick up something else by this author soon.

So compared to the first two books, this one was definitely the best of the three. We see a lot more character depth and the plot moves very steadily throughout. And probably my biggest joy of this book was that Roar didn't die. I was really concerned he would die. I do think some of the tension in places could have been a bit better, like with Perry "not making it into the Still Blue." But overall, it was done nicely. Would I recommend the series? Possibly. It's just a matter of if the reader can get through the first fifty pages of the first book.

Into the Still Blue was fast paced, definitely a page turner and it seriously had me hanging on my seat (same with the first two books). Actually the trilogy got better with each books and the writing style too! You could feel all the emotions and all the hurt like you were there in the book, yeah the writing was that good.
And now.. I can't believe it already ended it was sad because I got way too attached to the characters and i'm sure i'll be terribly missing Aria, Perry,and Roar of course <3! I just wished it was longer so i could read more of them but nevertheless, this trilogy will surely have a special place in my heart.

This was a really good series for me. I loved all the characters as well as the world that I had never seen done before. It was overall just a good and captivating read for me that made me have many feels XD

Well, what can I say except I really, really love this series! I don’t really have a lot to say about this book. I still found it as awesome as the last two and I was really sad when it ended. I feel that this last installment really made me ride an emotional roller coaster. I’m sure anything I could possibly say about the characters, the worldbuilding, the action scenes et cetera would just be repeating what I’ve already said about Under the Never Sky and Through the Ever Night.
The villain in this book is definitely a villain. Sable is very disturbing and manipulative, and what’s worse is you can’t even fool him because, like Perry, he’s also a scire. Going into this book, I knew that not everything would turn out alright because it’s just that kind of book. But even knowing that didn’t stop me from tearing up once or twice.
In the end, Under the Never Sky is truly a wonderful series that I will definitely revisit in the future. It is definitely not the perfect book, it has flaws and I feel that there could be more answers to the questions that I have. But, it is a series that, strangely, comforts me. It is familiar and the characters feel like a group of friends I could say hello to each time I open the pages.
