This was an extremely fast read, and while I would have liked a LITTLE more background to the magic in this world, I still had a lot of fun with it because it is, first and foremost, a murder mystery. I did find elements of it a tad predictable at times, but for the most part I still enjoyed this. The mystery aspect was fun and I liked the almost Knives Out-esque side to the story. I do wish it had been 50-ish pages longer to just fully flesh out the world and the characters. But on the whole? Pretty stinking fun.
