Tabatha, a sorcerer’s apprentice to the most affluent sorcerer ever Solomon, she fights her families wishes and continue her training under him even when she just a mere high school. Solomon has seen a prophecy of his own death by the one he loves the most, but when it occurs the mystery plagues her and his family with finding the killer. As she is the main suspect along with one of his children Callum then go full on detective mode to find the actual murderer.
“These Deadly Prophecies” by Andrea Tang was a very entertaining mystery/fantasy book. It reminded me so much of The Magicians show in the magic systems and vibe. Although the romance was minimal and chaste, I was hoping they could fall for each other and find the murderer. The ending was surprising and not how I thought the book would go. 5 out of 5 stars.

A mysterious tale with a magical twist. This book will seriously not dissapoint if you are looking for an easy mystery read with family feuds and a little bit of magic. Very suspenseful and full of surprises, I finished it in 2 days and it was an incredible ride. For this book particularly, I'd say the setting and plot itself is highlighted more than the individual characters. I'm more of a character bonding gal myself, so sometimes it was hard for me to find the motivation to move along but once I did, it was still a great murder mystery. The point of view in this book was not what you usually expect and it does take some time to get used to. Its told more as the narrator telling her story as it has already happened. After everythinf, it kept me guessing right up until the very end and I think that's all you can ask for in a novel such as this.
