Ending was ok. I thought the twist was a little weak. Lots of explicit sex scenes that I’m NOT complaining about but also way too many for a book that’s supposed to be a thriller ?

3.5 stars. Colleen Hoover is better at writing suspense than romance 100%, and this book was a good one. However, the ending didn’t satisfy me all the way… but it does leave a lot of opening to debate and discuss the true meaning of the book. That is all.
The suspense... GREAT!!! Writing style/prose.... not so much. Had me on the edge of my seat, especially closer to the end but I sometimes got the ick from the verbiage used to describe certain scenes.

This book was all kinds of f’ed up. But it was pretty good twist-wise. And I really appreciate a good twist.
i have so many mixed feelings about this book. Lowen and Jeremy were hard to like because they weren't fleshed out very well. That was a big problem for me since the whole thing was on Lowen's perspective. Verity was fleshed out but I was confused if I liked her or not bro IDK. Also a lot of the scenes where it was supposed to be suspenseful didn't work for me.
The writing is really good tho and the ending... I LOVED the ending.

I am not really sure how to rate this book? The writing style was fine. The pacing was fine. The plot was fine. But in my opinion this book was pretty predictable and that probably had a lot to do with all the hype it got on booktok. I can totally understand people adore this book, cause it is good. But if I were to rate this I’d say a 7,5/10
This was like watching a lifetime movie is all I can say LOL
