I somehow managed to read this in less than an hour because it was just so interesting. I loved fairytales as a kid and it was interesting to read sort of 'Wizard world' ones. It was light and I loved reading Dumbledore's notes at the end of each one because he really analyses the tale so you get an insight look into the moral of the tale.
I also loved actually reading 'The Tale of the Three Brothers' in book form. It was so surreal and I was imagining Hermoine's voice reading it out loud to me as she does in the movie.

My soppy romantic muggle heart, could not help but be touched by 'The Warlock's Hairy Heart'.

I'm inclined to give this 5 stars mainly because it's from the universe that I hold near and dear to my heart, but generally speaking it's not really 5 star worthy. It's a book of short wizarding tales and serves the purpose to teach young witches and wizards life long morals--which would be great if magic was indeed real. Nevertheless, it's nice to be back into the Harry Potter world if only for a little while.

I don't know why I waited so long to read this! It's been a year since I read the Harry Potter series for the first time and I have been having some wizardly withdrawals. The Tales of Beedle the Bard only took me about an hour to read, but it was fun and I got to be immersed in the world of Harry Potter and Hogwarts for a little while. The best part of the book was Dumbledore's commentary!
All in all, the book made me want to read Deathly Hallows again! And I plan to do just that in November.
