Historical fiction novel about a leper colony in Louisiana in the late 1920s. Engrossing story, albeit highly depressing. I did some research about the “fever therapy” mentioned in the book and found an article that documented the experiments done at Carville. http://ila.ilsl.br/pdfs/v7n3a06.pdf
