This was an amazing read! It really makes you think. I couldn't sleep the night after reading it because i was so enthralled by the plot's confusing twists and turned. Read it in two days. It is worth the slow burn.

This book was pretty middle of the road. The tropes are a little played out- haunting vs. mental illness, etc. It is short, so an easy and quick Halloween read. I’d recommend this to anyone who is looking for a spooky book that isn’t too graphic or violent.

I wish I love this book. I usually will love horror books.

It’s a story of a family of four, and the eldest daughter, Marjorie was diagnosed with schizophrenia. When the doctors couldn’t help her, they consulted the local priest who then found the deal for the family to be filmed for a documentary. Believing Marjorie was possessed by the devil, they turned their experience into money-making documentary, considering the family was penniless with jobless dad and burdened by Marjorie’s medical bills. The stories were told in 2 different forms; a website written by an enthusiast analysing said documentary, and the interview with Merry, Marjorie’s sister 15 years later. There was a clash between her memories and the documentary, and the book ended with a revelation from the unreliable narrator.

Having both a blog and child narrate your book might seem quirky and innovative but boy does it get old real fast.
