sooo where do I start….
I loved Wretched by emily mcintire, so i decided to give Twisted a try and I am not gonna lieee, I was a little disappointed. The storyline and beginning of the story had so much potential but it kinda fell short.
This was said to be a slow-burn romance, but I still feel like the pacing as far as the actual romance was off. It seemed like it boarded at insta-love… or if you will “insta-i saw you naked so now i love you love” (that didn’t make any sense i am sorry you had to read that) anyway
I felt like these two had very little chemistry. Like some authors i read they seem to think that labeling something as a slow burn means that the full

“He’s the only person who’s seen me lacking and not just handed me whatever I need but given me the chance to learn it myself. It’s different from what I’m used to, and I like the way it feels.” —Yasmin Karam
“She’s under no illusion of what this started as, but I want to make sure she knows that if she isn’t in my world, it isn’t worth living. She’s changed me for the better. In all the ways I care to change, that is.” —Julian Faraci
gurgling choking gasping wheezing screaming throwing up
Wow... this was intensely and overwhelmingly scorching. I'd venture to say that this book was a Scarred and Wretched combined, with the most unhinge mmc's I've read in an dark-romance book and a less smutty scene that still left us gasping for air. Oh how I enjoyed this book a lot despite the many reviews of how badly written this is.
Since Yasmin was first dislikeable, I've felt a loathe-turn-to-respect feeling toward her. However, I'm happy to see her evolving throughout the novel. Yasmin is the type of character that takes charge of every scene she is in; she is fearless, strong, and utterly memorable. She is a portrayal of a powerful and unabashedly outspoken female lead that has and expert at maintaining control, projecting confidence, I admire how truly baddass she is when she defends herself from the one who assaulting her. And then there's, Julian, oh, dear. This man was brutal and completely cruel in his ambition, ready to demolish all that stood in his way while making sure that Yasmin would never be touched or even hurt. Every vicious motion he made revealed a deep vulnerability hidden beneath his cold, calculating façade. I went completely crazy by the sacrifices he was willing to make and the obsessive lengths he went to for her. He was utterly insane in the most alluring way—impulsive, unrelenting, and possessed by his dark, unwavering yearning for someone who wasn't really his (yet).
Their banter really captivated me. The sexual tension was blistering, and the romance was smoldering! Their interactions and small touches were all very intense, it makes me gaping gasping panting screaming wheezing kicking my feet tantruming around jkhfkjs. Julian and Yasmin are a match made in hell. And I would be more than happy to be adopted as their foster child once more. And believe me when I say that even with less spice, it’s still enough to had you reaching for holy water. It was filthy and dirty, and it was blistering hot all around. Utter flame. On top of that, a statement from Julian made me screaming shrieking tantruming around like mad girl:
“Your first mistake was not recognizing who I am. Your second mistake, was disrespecting my wife.” —Julian Faraci
Despite the hurried ending and the lackluster final conflict, I liked it more than I should have. I enjoyed the epilogue and extended epilogue even if they don't explain anything other than their growing desire. Additionally, I would like to thank Sandi Hunts and Marcio Catalano for narrating this book. I adore the way they brought the characters to life. Four down, two to go. Hell yess!! Crossed, here I come💥🔥
