I love Raven, and I wanted a lot more out of this than what was provided. It is interesting and good, but because I wanted more details (basically I wanted The Jewel from Raven's perspective) I ranked it lower. Especially after The White Rose, I wish there would have been more about Raven's time at the House of the Stone, but answers are provided, they just aren't meticulous.

I loved reading from Raven's perspective. After reading the Jewel, I felt very curious about Raven's life with the Countess of the Stone's and this novella very much satisfied me.

Enjoyed reading this novella from the POV of Raven who didn't fare so well in the mistress that bought her. I think Raven's story needed to be told. This novella answered the many questions you asked about what was happening to Raven during book one.

It was hard to read about Raven's story of the first few days being owned by the House of the Stone, until the funeral. But makes it all the more better that Violet gave the escape potion to Raven, because she needed it!

As I read this I feel as though I would've enjoyed this series more from Raven's POV. Not that I hated Violet or anything, I just like Raven's aggressive attitude more.
