I am so sad and angry about the ending of this book!😭💔 what the hell??

I will definitely be continuing to read the final book of the series, mainly because I can’t accept what just I just read!

Like the first in the series, I found that this was a slow read at times, and we were often toyed with ideas and plot twists which I think could’ve been unraveled a LOT earlier on in the book!

That being said, I absolutely love Sarah’s writing and that we are getting multiple POVs. I find her storytelling to be truly unique and equally heartbreaking 🖤

I love the characters and the way we get just enough of each of them (Besides Orlaith) to keep us guessing their true motives and feelings! I already feel like I have a few small theories and guesses as to what’s to come, however, what I just read has me SO frustrated and angry! I love Orlaith but oh my days… ask questions before you act!!😅💔

I’m stressed and need to continue with To Flame a Wild Flower!🥀✨

Interesting choice… to double down on the toxic masculinity…

So, I just finished the second book in this series, and wow, what a ride. Not exactly the good kind, though. I had high hopes after the first book, but this one really threw me for a loop. The main character, who used to be so relatable, just went completely off the rails. It's like she's having a mid-life crisis or something, making all these crazy, out-of-character decisions.

For most of the book, she's doing stuff that just doesn't make sense. It's like she had a personality transplant, and not in a good way. I kept thinking, "Who is this person, and what did she do with the main character I liked?"

And don’t even get me started on the romance. The main character and her love interest are barely around each other, and when they are, it's just awkward and full of angst. They love each other but can't seem to have a normal conversation. It's like they're always running from each other, which got old real fast.

Adding the side characters’ perspectives was a miss too. Those chapters felt pretty boring because, usually, when you add different POVs, everything ties together nicely by the end. But here, nothing really connected, making those sections feel pointless.

Overall, this book was kind of a letdown. It felt scattered and didn't have the same charm as the first one. I'm really hoping the next book can turn things around because right now, my enthusiasm for the series is fading fast.
