5 Stars!

I loved this book (which is considered an anthology-a published collection of poems or other pieces of writing)!! Getting to read a collection of stories from some great Black men and women writers was amazing! One of my goals for this year is to read more books by Black men and this definitely gave me a great range of them.

I loved all of the stories and how they provided a different perspective of being Black. One of the more interesting ones was "Wild Horses, Wild Hearts" by Jay Coles about a young Black teen boy who worried about coming out as gay to his family and dealing with living in a rural all white area.
