Ahhh this was so good. Fun, silly, downright cozy except for all the violence. I loved the magic and the adventure and the protagonist and how we never heard about her looks, just her power.

Didn't love it, didn't hate it. This did feel awfully short (especially since I read this after Babel), so maybe I felt like there wasn't that much to grab onto yet. I will probably read the next one and see whether I enjoy it enough to continue with this series.
This was just not it. It felt like listening to Kat Dennings character from two broke girls inner monologue if she was a supernatural bounty hunter on a mission with a vampire. It was like they were trying so hard to be funny it was painful. I liked this authors other stuff but I really struggled to get through this, if I wasn’t listening to the book I would have DNFd it
