I don't know what it is, but it seems like this series is just getting worse. I think I'll have to take a break from Spider-Gwen for awhile and read something else.

So far, I've been finding the Spider-Gwen run a little lacklustre. This particular volume was more enjoyable in that it had more Murdock again (the shining point of the whole run so far), and a really enjoyable Cap side-story (oof, feelings). I want to love Gwen more but the emotional heart, character connections, and interesting stakes are lacking.

Gwen Stacy of Earth 65 is hands-down my favorite Marvel character at the moment and I think this story arc is one of the more compelling arcs out there at the moment.

I wish we would get more actual story in these volumes. The side adventures are fun but it would be nice to get more than 50 pages of story.

A refreshing space between two big arcs. SG's annual kind of serves as an Untold Tales of Spider-Gwen and was a good read. All New Wolverine's Annual featuring SG was a delight to read and was a little subversion of Freaky Friday tropes. I like Laura Kinney and should really read her Wolverine runs. The standard issues were nice as they revealer more of Matt Murdock's plot and [spoiler] from Spider-Women returns.

Read via Marvel Unlimited.

Solid meh. As for real content, there is really nothing that adds to the story line in the few pages that are dedicated to issues advancing the series and not just random side stories

Still a lot of fun but is progressing at a snails pace.

Maybe I shouldn't have come in right in the middle of the story, but I just didn't like half of the art or many of the jokes. But I did like the last little story - X-23 is always cool :)

Sigh. Marvel will print just about anything and I guess I'll read it. This one was kind of awful. No real story just little stupid vignettes some with bad art and others with worse art. I generally don't buy the only MJ and the Pussycats or whatever the group Gwen drums for is. But throw in Matt Murdock as the Kingpin and Gwen without powers ... It doesn't matter. This one was just not worth reading.

Well. So. This volume is a mess.

It contains two issues that are part of the normal Spider-Gwen stuff - Gwen's dad is in jail and she makes a pact with Matt Murdock, Kingpin of Crime, so he'll help her dad out. But the deal comes with strings attached.

Her Spider powers are still limited, on-and-off, needing to be triggered by a serum because of reasons, so that would add to the drama, but the series still feels like it's stumbling about uncertain about where it's headed.

The other two issues are the Spider-Woman annual, which is a jumble of forgettable stories, and a Wolverine annual, which is actually fun. It has Spider-Gwen and a female Wolverine trading bodies, and needing to team up to trade bodies again. It's actually fun, unlike... well, most of the rest of the volume.
