great construction. great case study (studies) in (un)reliable narration. whole lotta hill house references. maybe too many hill house references. who knew there was such a thing?

I really liked it, but I didn't love it enough to rate it 5 stars. The plot twists were pretty good (and unpredictable). I can't recall a single thing that happened in Final Girls, but I am going to remember this. It had some very creepy moments, and gothic horror vibes. Almost like Haunting of Hill House.

Riley Sager strikes again. I was so terrified reading this I had to stop reading it before bed and start reading in the daylight. A classic Riley Sager thriller, they’ve become an instant-buy for me!

Honestly this book was such a fun time! The back and forth between chapters work so well. And I love how each chapter correlated with the present events that the main character was going through. I personally found the whole book entertaining. Even the twist at the end, even though it was pretty messy. I still enjoyed it. And it did spook me a little bit too!

In the beginning it felt like "Haunting of Hill House" but the Netflix Series, not the book. It was eerie, kept you interested and felt just right.
The first twist that was revealed was still interesting and added to the story but
to explain all the supernatural looking events with one too many weird people who had access to the house really just disappointed me greatly.

The last third of the book was a huge let down to me.

This was such a fun read! A perfect book for fall, with twists and turns and spookiness and family drama, kept me guessing until the very end. I loved it.
