Like the other two books. BIG emotional whiplash.
It would be 5 stars if some of the stuff that did happen wasn’t actually fake or planned. I was expecting everyone or most to die in the end but it was an overall happy ending to the story which was lovely but also all that dark sad death that happened previous in the book was sometimes a lie so it just was hard to really believe much that was happening.
I LOVE DADDY GRANT. what a father. A dad. The perfect parental figure. Him being the father to every single child that was involved warmed my heart. The notes he left for all of them brought a tear to my eye.
Also why was i mourning for AIDAN. An ai ? How could he love. Like he creeped me out so much with his obsession with Kady but also i was sad when he sacrificed himself and had to say goodbye.
All over the place with emotions
Fav character def daddy grant
Least fav. Ben Garver. Even tho his cease fire surrender was part of the plan it pissed me off so much.

5+ glorious fucking stars. Dang this was just epic as hell. Can't find words, so I will just tell you all I adored this last volume in the Illuminae files and to see how everything got together in the end. Seeing my favourite characters (and couples, including a new one), and hating again on AIDAN for what he did and does in this one, reading all the different formats of information regarding what happened. I loved seeing what happened on the planet but also on the ship. The plan of our characters to save the people and the planet was just fabulous. Absolutely bonkers, but fabulous. Recommended.

rating-4.25
favourite characters: kady and aidan
good aspect: action ... bitch!
bad aspect: the surprises were too similar to the last books
comment: the couples were too straight.. how many girl/boy romances can the authors conjure

What a great end to the series! While this one didn’t blow my mind as much as the other two, we got a lot more depth to our old characters, and got introduced to some lovable new characters too. Very solid, action-packed book. I mean, I read it (all 600+ pages of it) in a day and half, so that should say something. This series is super cool and fun, and I will always recommend it.
